Sweet Little Thing

Review - Sweet Little Thing by Abbi Glines

What !!!!! What just happened !!!!!! To say that Sweet Little Thing has left me completely desperate for more is an understatement. Jasper and Beulah are from completely opposite sides of the society. She's humble and hard working and he seems entitled and spoiled. I'll admit I wasn't sure where this was going to go at first. The hero seems to go from nice to asshole in a matter of seconds. As this story goes on however and the two of them get to know one another a bit better I found myself falling in love with these two. So many sweet moments and how the hero in this story kind of surprised me a bit. I'm not sure what I expected to be honest but I will say how utterly delighted I was with him and how he handled things as the story goes on.

"You are the different. the special that breaks a man. Makes him want more. Makes him want a life he thought he'd never have..."

Oh this story was filled with sweet sweet swoony moments that make you giddy with delight. Now at the same time however there were a few people in this book that just didn't sit right with me and I could feel in my bones that I was going to potentially have my heart toyed with. So while I felt that this book perhaps would end with a bang I wasn't expecting the bang to be as explosive as it was and my first immediate thought was HOLY FUCK when is the next book coming out. Abbi Glines delivers with Sweet Little Thing a tantalizing read that will draw you into the storyline, the characters and their emotions, leave you with your jaw dropping and begging for more.

The day her mother passed away, Beulah was only given a name. That was it. No other explanation. Portia Van Allan was not someone Beulah could believe her mother ever knew. Wealthy, self-absorbed and other than the fact Portia was supplying special care for Beulah’s sister, Portia was cruel. The day Portia’s son returns home for the summer, Beulah discovers that Portia isn’t in charge. This isn’t her home at all. Her late husband left her with nothing. It all belongs to their son who doesn’t seem to like his mother at all. Jasper Van Allan doesn’t know why his mother has hired a young gorgeous blonde to take care of the house and almost lets her go before he finds out the truth. Realizing there’s more to Beulah than a stunning face, he keeps finding reasons to be near her all the time. It’s all falling into place, it all begins to make sense . . . until the real lies, the dark secrets, and the skeletons come tumbling out of the Van Allan closet. Twisted truths that will send Beulah running . . .
