I really liked this story. It was an emotional read and has lots of things happen and it's a wild ride. Hurt, sorrow, regret, laughter, friendship and love. This book seems to have it all.
The story was one of moving forward and overcoming things that happen. Carsten was strong but at times she came across as weak. This was her story, so I'm not going to talk about other characters but I liked the direction that it too. It's not an easy book to read. There are triggers in this book but I feel that the ride was one of beauty and hope. I can't review this very well because of twists and things that happen. ~ Jessica

I am still trying to recuperate from reading this book. I absolutely LOVED this book!! Carsten has lived through things that no one should. You will get angry, you will cheer for her, you will cry for her (and question if Amber even likes us!), and cheer some more. There is a trigger warning due to physical violence - which I must say was so well written that it was hard to read. They way it takes place is true to life. Have tissues handy! But do yourself a favor and read it. ~ Krista

Sometimes it’s found when you’re not looking for it. It peeks around the corner when you least expect it, sweeping you off your feet, carrying you off into the sunset.
Sometimes, there are a lucky few who get to experience both. I was one of the lucky ones.
