This is the first work I have read from Bella J. I must admit that I was blown away and am hooked. This book is not for all readers since it is dark and has some triggers in it but I loved it. Tatum who was kidnapped to help avenge Carlos death. Costello the brother left behind and now head of the family after the death of his father and brother. Throw in a crazy and strong Italian mother and power hungry little brother and you have the making of a riveting mafia story with twists and turns everywhere. I can't wait to read the next book.

Blood and lies was a very well written book that kept me guessing what was going to happen next! Although the story line was intriguing it was not a story line I wanted to read at the moment.

It wasn’t supposed to be this way. All it took was one bullet and I went from Capo to Boss within the blink of an eye. What once was my twin brother’s birthright, has now become my curse. Now it’s up to me to avenge my brother’s death, to give every member of this family the revenge they deserve. I will retaliate, and I will exact due payment. The cost? Her life. Tatum Linscott is the reason I had to bury my brother. She ruined everything, and now my only goal is to break her, mend her, then break her again. This war started with her...and it will end with her. **WARNING** ~ Blood & Lies is a DARK Contemporary Romance, not suitable for people sensitive to hard to read subjects~

All the way from Cape Town, South Africa, Bella J lives for the days when she's able to retreat to her writer's cave where she can get lost in her little pretend world of romance, love, and insanely hot bad boys. Bella J is a Hybrid Author with both Self-Published and Traditional Published work. Even though her novels range from drama, to comedy, to suspense, it's the dark, twisted side of romance she loves the most.
