See what our team is saying about Cheat

Both have their pasts that have left them troubled. They both recognise their connection and seem to take two steps forward then ten steps back. I got a little emotional for Stefanie on a few occasions. This is a standalone but I think reading the previous books would help fully understand the certain references made to previous events.

This a great series. Garrett and Stefanie's story is book 3. Garrett has survived guilt from his tours in the army. Stefanie has had a hard life. Growing up in foster care showed her how bad the world can be. These two collide when she takes in a bruised and battered Garrett. The twists and ups and downs in this book had all the feels. At one point I even had tears. I loved this read! I can't wait to read the next one.

Garrett is not an easy man to love. In his defense though, he has been through quiet the traumatic experience. He is so angry and has a terrible attitude. Stefanie has her own demons to work through but together they fight hard to hopefully find their happily ever after!! ❤️

Never cheat. But if you must, cheat death. Veteran Army Medic Garrett Wright narrowly escaped death more than once. Through the horrors of war, he witnessed the darkness and ugliness of humanity, and let it consume him from the inside out. Stefanie Banks knows all too well how dark and ugly the world can be. She lives her life determined to make every moment better than the last. In a dive bar in the middle of nowhere, Stefanie and Garrett’s worlds collide. Sunshine and darkness face off and sparks fly. Can a war-torn soul and one who never felt loved trust one another enough to cheat the curveballs life throws at them and hold on to love enough to make it last the distance?
