REVIEW: Dares, Lies & Geminis by Kat Alexander

Genre: May 29, 2018

Publication Date: May 29, 2018

Krista's thoughts...

Dares, Lies and Geminis follow Tristana and Peter, Nathan and Seraphina. Two totally different situations, two totally different types of relationships. Or is it? Just when I thought I had this story line figured out, I found myself going "what the he**?!" I so did NOT see that twist coming! There is a trigger warning and one scene in particular is hard to read, but it is essential to the story. This is the first book of Kat Alexander's that I have read and it did not disappoint! I can't wait to read more from her!!

About The Book

Two women, different as night and day. Tristana likes to keep to herself, devotedly working all day so she doesn’t think about all she is missing in life. Seraphina, shrouded in mystery, hunts at night, surreptitiously looking for someone good, noble, and honest, while proving to herself they don’t exist. Two men who won’t succumb to failure. After his brother’s death, Peter spends his days trying to build a life as far away from the accusatory eyes of his hometown. Nathan has a nightly obsession—Seraphina. The truth that everyone is afraid to whisper. As Peter starts to chip away at Tristana’s walls, one dare unknowingly releases something he thought he lost long ago. And as Nathan moves in on Seraphina, one lie breaks apart the foundation of everything he thought he knew. Meet the Geminis. *** Warning: This book contains sexual violence that may be a trigger for some readers. This is a work of fiction and not meant to offend or misrepresent any situations. ***

About The Author

Literature is my passion. I like to challenge myself and grow in my writings. I have many unfinished books and some that have been published under a different name. Why I chose to do this is because of my writing growth and the differentiation in genre. I don't want my future books to be judged by the inexperience of my past writings. Though I love those books, they came out of nowhere and it's apparent in the writings they were a first draft from someone with no experience. My passions include the arts--music, photography, writing, dance, painting, films, architecture, anything that is creation. There is not much I don't like; and if I don't like it, I at least appreciate the process that took place to create it. This is something incorporated in all my books. I've known so many talented people, and truly believe no one is without a talent. Everyone has something ingrained in them; just naturally gives them the ability to create new life in the form of art. In my spare time, which is basically non-existent between my day job and writing, I enjoy being out in nature, travelling, spending time with family, and reading. I read everything, from contemporary to paranormal, from historical romance to erotica, from history to science. Learning is something very important to me. I really do learn something new everyday, my brain storing so much useless to life-saving information. My brain, the sponge.
