REVIEW: SPARKS FLY by Lauren Runow

Laura's thoughts....

Another first for me! A book by the wonderful Lauren Runow. Why the heck haven’t I read this author before??? Shame on me! I thoroughly enjoyed this read about Prince Sage that must marry, and Everly the unwilling bride. I don’t like to give too much away in my reviews, as I believe everyone has different tastes, and therefore must produce their own opinions . But It was different from my normal office romance novels, but oh so much fun! Can’t wait to read more from Lauren. I might have found my new favourite author.

Dawne's thoughts...

A sweet, royal love story that really wasn't so royal. Two people thrown into a life of expectations, none of which are the choices they would make. It's funny how fate has a way of opening your eyes to see something or someone in a whole new light. I really enjoyed this feel good story and the message of being the change you want to be.

Katy's thoughts...

This story was very different to ones I have read before. It was unique and made you want to carry on turning them pages. This story is great in a way that you create your own destiny, regardless of what is expected from you. For that reason alone, I thought it was a good, gripping read.

Nancy's thoughts...

This book grabbed my attention from the beginning and never let it go. I just couldn't put it down until I was finished. Prince Sage has a problem. His country's law states him must marry before his 25 birthday. There are 4 girls with the proper bloodline on the list for him to choose from. 3 are boring 1 is not interested. Everly is that one. She doesn't want to get married unless it is for love. She wants to make a change in the world. Not be a photo opts princess. Sage needs to show her the real him. This is a stand up for what is right read.

Everly wasn’t excited over her impending meeting with the enigmatic Prince Sage. Being one of only four women from whom the Prince gets to choose in marriage was never something she valued. Her goal was to politely and elegantly remove herself from a forced wedding due to long standing traditions. Handsome Prince or not, she won’t marry for anything but love. Once Sage proceeds to the next candidate, Everly finally feels she can move forward with her life. On her own terms. That is, until she receives a mysterious request, asking her to solve a riddle, taking her on a night she’ll never forget. A fervent adventure ensues, and attraction builds as the excitement of the night unfolds. Sparks fly in more ways than one just as she finds out who’s stealing her heart.
