Review: XOXO I LOVE YOU by Julie Capulet

Series: I Love You

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Publication Date: May 3, 2019

A young graduate. A ruthless CEO. And an attraction neither of them was prepared for.

After graduating from college, Lexi Blondeau moves to L.A. By some miracle, she gets an interview for a dream job, at Downtown, the "It" company of the decade. If rumors are anything to go by, CEO Rafe Black is not only one of the most ruthless men in the city, but also one of the hottest men on the planet.

At the interview, the last thing Lexi is expecting is for the mysterious--and unbelievably sexy--Rafe Black to literally sweep her off her feet. To say their chemistry is off the charts would be an understatement. Within days, Lexi's life seems to have transformed itself in every possible way, and all because of her new boss, who also happens to be her passionate new lover.

Rafe takes Lexi to his private estate in Kauai so he can keep her all to himself. But will Rafe's obsession become too much?

XOXO I Love You is the first book in the I Love You series. If you like fun, sexy romance starring obsessed alphas, you'll love Julie Capulet's page-turning book.

*Please note that this book is the first of a two-part series and ends in a cliffhanger. The second book, XOXX I Love You More, is now available.

Sarah's Review - Rating ★★★

Well I'm certainly not blown away.

It doesn't lack in the 'hot' scenes. These two are getting plenty of action, that's for sure. For me it just seems too much. I think it has a promising story line, but failed to really sink my teeth into it. Rafe, for me, was just a little too overbearing and Lexi, far too willing and naive.

Briana's Review - Rating ★★★★

I was torn between loving and not liking this book at all. Why, you may ask? I’ve never much been one for whirlwind romances. It seems too unrealistic in the way it “consumes” the characters completely and definitely. That’s how it was with Rafe and Lexi. All consuming and fast paced at total break-neck speed. To be honest, when they first sleep together, I rolled my eyes at how quick it actually was. But then it was more like she was her own person in time. She stood up to him. She fought with him. I was proud of her for a few seconds. Like, YES! You’re independent! You don’t need someone like that! You show him! And then I felt bad and not necessarily understood what Rafe did, but... I don’t really know how to phrase it correctly. He shouldn’t have done that. They both should’ve talked. They should have done a lot of things that are constantly over looked in a romance. But I digress. I ended up liking this book. A lot. And now I’m going to jump in to book 2. Peace out!
