The little sneak peak I read in the The Truth About Heartbreak had me absolutely buzzing for this book. Forbidden love stories are my weakness and I live for the inevitable drama that usually comes with them. TTAT has even more WTF than the usual Forbidden story, it's not just a number for Charlie and Ollie. It's their circumstances that make this story even more complex and riddled with inevitable obstacles that had me glued to the pages. Heart pounding moments where I held my breath and emotions that couldn't be ignored, The Truth About Tomorrow tells a story of a love that just can't be denied no matter how much you fight it. “Show me how to play,” I say. Her body leans back as her brows pinch with a dubious stare. “You want me to teach you how to play piano?” I nod. “The song you played. OMG !! Where do I start, so first and foremost as a blogger we always wish that we could read every book that comes our way. Sadly, there are just not enough hours in the day and so I'll be honest when I say that I've become very selective about what I have picked up to read lately. It's also been so hit and miss for me, nothing seems to keep my attention for very long. I'm not sure if it's blogger burn out, the fact that I have a new job either way it's been a struggle. What hasn't really changed is the fact that I prefer to read blind and it's no different with this one. I saw the cover, I saw the title in my newsfeed on facebook. I immediately went to Amazon and grabbed a copy. The prologue had me immediately hooked, and I settled in for what I felt would be a long and angsty journey. The book screams angst, and I LIVE FOR ANGST. This was a slow burn, nothing happens immediately, but the build up towards the inevitable OMFG's and Cursing that I would do while reading this was just perfect. It's a known fact that I gravitate towards reads that are full of emotions, most of them being angsty. This book had my chest feeling tight, it had me screaming at the characters and wanting to throw my tablet so many times. I hated and loved it all at the same time and I couldn't stop reading. It's one of those reads where I thought HOLY FUCK I can't take much more here. I'm going to riot. Make no mistake, I LIVE FOR THESE TYPES OF READS. I love those books that make you want to message an author and say WHY !!!!!!!!!!! STOP PLAYING WITH ME. I WANT TO MURDER THEM !!!! Them, of course being the characters. This book did all of that and I ate it up. And now I'm a fan and will basically tell everyone about this book cause that's how I roll. All The Angst !!! What a great read. You think its just a cop doing his job, but maybe he has an ulterior motive? This book was so original and so good. Alpha females, steamy sex, kick a$$ action and well written story made for a great first book in this series. There is a bit of a cliffhanger at the end so now I'm chomping at the bits for book 2!!! This book was so good!!! I love Leslie. She is smart, tough, independent and isn't afraid to go after what she wants. And Cash! I just wanted to hug him through the whole book. I don't think I've cheered so hard for two people to get out of their own way and look at what is in front of them. I will most definitely be going back and reading the other books in the series. So freaking good!!!! When casual becomes complicated. Misbehaved is a story filled with some heartbreaking moments. And I'll be honest I wasn't sure which way this would go, I wasn't sure how I wanted it to go. My heart and mind bounced back and forth between how I wanted this story to end, regardless Nicole Dykes once again has me powering through this book. Cash his life is messy, complicated and I really felt for him in this book. He truly had, what seemed like the weight of the world on his shoulders. Leslie is a breath of fresh air, she's independent, hardworking and just seems easy to get along with. But complications always have a way of turning your life upside down and this story is no exception. I enjoyed this book immensely but that has pretty much been par for the course with this series as well as Nicole Dyke's Monroe series. Of course this story wouldn't be complete without some of those fav characters making an appearance throughout. If you are looking for a series read that will have you invested in the characters and their journey then I strongly suggest this Series, this book as well as Nicole's Monroe family series. They are books that really have the perfect blended families in them. I flipping love this Author !! I always love a great love story that has a strong female lead; and that is what you get in this awesome book. Can't get enough of Cash either. Loved this story that is beautifully written. What on earth was she even questioning!!!! The answer is always Jake!!! Best friend Vicky has me in fits of giggles. Gotta love the over worked mum with an alcoholic hip flask. One of my go too's are Rom Coms, nothing better then a funny read. This is my first read from Lucy Score and differently won't be my last. This is a story about Marley and Jake, Marley hit rock bottom and went back to her home town homeless, broke and single. Jake a history teacher is starting to realize hook ups and dating isn't cutting it anymore, he looking for something more. If your looking for a funny easy to read story check this one out. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Had me hooked and in stitches. I loved Marleys character, she showed that it's okay not to have everything figured out. Definitely keeping my eyes peeled for more by this Author Lucy Score definitely knows how to write a good ROMCOM. And this one was one that I would recommend to be read. The characters were well written, and they were ones that are relatable. Their story was one that made you just root for them to have their HEA. The characters and the story was what made this book easy to read, and that's a good thing because this book is not a short one. If your looking for a ROMCOM that will have you swooning over the male character and cheering on the female character, I would recommend grabbing Rock Bottom Girl and give it a try. Rock Bottom Girl is a rom-com that truly made me laugh. Marley who at 38 has to move back to her parents home in small town Pennsylvania after losing her last boyfriend and job. She is broke and at odds with her life. She has been avoiding home for 20 years due to the humiliation she suffered in high school. Odd enough she ends up with a temp job at the high school as a gym teacher. This story just made me laugh. Being from a small town I just connected with the crazy things the happen. I loved this story and I can’t wait to read more from Lucy Score. Marley is my favorite person ever! I love her wit, her personality and her heart! Culpepper will never be the same after Marley comes back home to lick her wounds and try to start ever. This book is so well written and the characters are great! This story really gets it right about high school and female friendships. Throw in a hot history teacher and you've got yourself a great read! The thing about books these days is that a good portion of them aren’t relatable. This one is and I’m so happy, I could cry. There are characters that think they’re broken when they’re really not, but their emotions and reactions are relevant. Marley is a normal person who I feel is now one of my favorite characters. And Jake is one hot side hero that helps to not over power her like most alpha males do. The story itself is hilarious and kind of brings back that hormonal pumped desperation from high school days while applauding the character that was able to redeem herself the way some of us wish we could.
