Book Review - SEDUCING LOlA by JESSICA PRINCE #BookSmackedReview #BookReviews #MelsReview A battle of words with a spitfire and a sexy suit in a Starbucks starts it off in this book and I’m immediately smiling. Followed with a bit of a oopsie moment as Lola manages to piss of one of the owners of the company she works for. I have to say that it had me in absolute stitches as her and Grayson meet for a second time under what I would call an awkward as Fuck situation. But man did I laugh my ass of. #GlassDoorsHurt I swear this book had me in tears absolute full on snorting, giggling, laughing until no sound came out tears. Lola just picture shove foot in mouth here because that’s essentially what happens early on in this book and my gawd does it make for a hilarious read that had me dying. And let’s talk about Grayson Lockhart. Sweet mother of mercy he is what we would call walking sex on a stick. Determined, a bit cheeky, confident and just exudes sex. I can almost hear his raspy voice in my head and it makes all those lady parts tingle. He made me giddy to the point I would probably sound like a hormonal preteen giggling like a moron and full on blushing. The proverbial fireworks that go off when Lola finally lets her guard down holy Hanna. I found myself living vicariously through her. Lucky biatch because Grayson hot dayummm made my toes curl. So much push and pull with these two but it made for some hawt steamy scenes. This book had everything from some drama filled moments that had me thinking oh hell no I will cut you. To some oh my gawd I’m gonna pee myself right now. And the supporting cast was outstanding in this. It’s fun, sexy and Grayson will definitely have you swooning with his charm, determination and sexiness. Lola well dammit I would love for her to be my friend she was fierce, awkwardly hilarious and a bit unhinged at times but I absolutely loved her. Book Review - PRIVILEGED by CARRIE AARONS #BookSmackedReview #BookReview #MelsReview When I saw this book it immediately appealed to me. I love the books that are set in school particularly when it involves over privileged elite, throw in someone who is not from that world and I’m sold. Asher well he fits that bill to a tee. He’s an asshole, entitled, calculating and just cold. He has his sites set on Nora who’s mom is marry someone in the royal family. As the story unfolds we learn why Asher is so intent on getting close to Nora. All I could think to myself is OH shit this won’t end well for either of them. Asher is just the right amount of jerk and sweet that makes him dangerous and I loved that about him. I was secretly hoping as we see their relationship grow that he would maybe change his mind. This is one of those books that I couldn’t read fast enough I desperately needed to see how this would play out and what would happen after the inevitable damage was done. It’s angsty, a little sweet and a lot scandalous. The only thing preventing me from giving this a five star read is that I felt the ending was a bit rushed. Other than that it’s definitely a good read if you are looking for an angsty cruel intentions type of read. I really loved her dedication to do what’s right but at the same time, trying to get out of her comfort zones. With Caleb she was out of her depth because of his past, but she understood and I loved her for that. Caleb broke my heart!!! His past, how he is in the press, oh my heart!!! But when he opened up and slowly changed, oh it was beautiful to see! His past really messed with him but he slowly moved on. He had his mean moments but by the end of the book he was like a new person. The story was beautiful. A man overcoming his past and moving forward with his life has to be one of the best things about this book, and that’s saying a lot because it was awesome. There was a mystery about it, kids and a super hot man that feel hard for a women who could help ease his abuse from his past. I wish there had been more fighting scenes, or even just talking about it, but with the plot played out, I can see why it wasn’t. I truly can’t wait to read the first 2 books in the series and see what’s to come. Overall, I love how the author had the supporting characters be a major part of the story! It kept me hooked right along with the plot. I would have liked a little more focus on Theron’s back story and what made his father that way. I never thought I would see Dark and Rom Com in the same book, but it is Max Monroe and they find a way to put a unique twist on the fairytales that we read when younger. I’ll be honest I wasn't sure whether I could deal with the twist on the names in this book without thinking that they were a little too much and I had a bit of tough time with it at the beginning. But as the story continued I jumped head first into this story. It was unique, with a devilishly hot Matt Hadder who does what he wants, when he wants and if you get in his way well you definitely won’t be invited for tea. Alex she was pretty fierce and I loved that she was exactly what he needed. She fit so perfectly into his world and it had me feeling like these two are a force that could rule the world together. And let me tell you the sex was woah. Hot, intense, and Matt !!!! Oh my fuck. The desire, the lust it was heady it was fire. “So, call us whatever you want, but I know, when it comes to you and me, we motherfucking burn.” Max Monroe will have you fucking skipping down the yellow twisted road and jumping head first down the rabbit hole with this deliciously sexy twist on a fairytale. His obsessions run deep and even dare I say are even more intense in this book. He’s needing a new doll to feed his need and what happens is insanity. This is were the weirdly poetic I was spewing comes into effect. There are some newbies introduce to us in this deliciously tormenting story. Right from the start my heart broke for Leann, but seeing her open her eyes to living even after what she went through was amazing. Leann is making a huge chance to move on from her past and I really admire her. She is sweet and really down to earth. Brandon made me so mad at one point I wish he would have jumped off the ship, but, all his other quality a made me get over that really fast. He was sexy, and sweet, thoughtful and raw. He was a great hero. So, like I said above; the plot was different. The whole mystery cruise thing was awesome and I would mind doing on my self! As the story went on I got more and more hooked with the characters and the plot. I do with that it was longer so we could have gotten more detail, more days of the cruise. The main thing I didn’t like was how predictable things were. I can’t go into details because maybe it won’t be that way for other people, but for me, I know soon with the mystery aspect. While the ending was wrapped up nicely, I still felt that I needed more, and it wasn’t there. An epilogue would have been nice. I would love to get another book with the secondary characters! They were awesome and I wouldn’t mind seeing their happy ending. And maybe a look at LeAnn and Brandon in the future. Overall, being. My first book but this author I thought she did an awesome job. Sometimes things went a little fast, but I was still able to enjoy it because the characters were very easy to relate to.
