I have read all of her books in a week. Everytime I think she could give me a better book she freaking out does herself! So I thought Cooper was amazing and an alpha badass well let me introduce you to his stepson Matthew freaking Grant!! Mr. Sexy with a Stick is OMG I just don’t really have words for him that will do him justice right now. Karrie the owner’s daughter is tasked with helping to reform the image of this bad boy has her hands full but you best believe she’s not gonna be a pushover! She takes as good as she gets and trust me she’s getting it pretty dam good. The chemistry between Matthew and Karrie is off the charts smoking hot! The witty banter between the two of them will leave you laughing and wondering what will come out of their mouths next! This is another Perfect story by Natasha Madison! I wasn’t sure that we could get better because I love Cooper but holy faaaaccckkkk, Matthew Grant owns me. This series is just outstanding and this book is amazing another top read for me. Matthew Grant dayummmmm he is like a bull in a China shop. Commanding, ridiculous in his requests and I seriously had a full on vaginal meltdown. Ovaries exploding and ready to go to first base second base third base and then make up some bases because Matthew Grant !!!!!!!!!!!! He can come at me fast, hard. I’ll handle his stick and then let him score a hat trick. I will go to sin bin with him any day of the week. Good gawd this man is just gah. I’m telling you. He’s ridiculously protective and I snorted multiple times at his over bearing ways. I can’t continue to say how much I loved this book. I really liked the first two books in this series because they were different. I was excited to see this one because it was a whole different character that we haven’t met yet. Rex was fun! Not your typical womanizing bad boy, but the perfect mix of hot, sweet and dominant. It also didn’t hurt that he wore a uniform. Keira was really down to earth! She was funny and had a sassy side to her that I loved seeing when she pulled it out. She was a great mother and I was so glad that she found love! Being a small town romance, this book had heart. I loved seeing the secondary characters in this book after the lack of them I. The second book. The pace wasn’t too fast or to slow, and was detailed with out bing overly detailed. Overall I enjoyed this third book of the series. Meeting these new characters was a good experience and I look forward to hopefully more of these books in the future. She never stops surprising me on how well she can write. This is a sweet, short story of Rex Malone and Kiera Jennings. Kiera is a divorced, dedicated single mom to her darling daughter, Meg. Her sister decides she needs to get away from it all and takes her to Las Vegas. It’s in Las Vegas where Kiera meets the handsome Rex and there is instant chemistry. After a wonderful night together, Kiera gets a call that has her running home without exchanging phone numbers with Rex. What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas, though. It’s by chance that they meet again, this time it’s at home. Kiera has moved to a quiet little name where Rex happens to be the Police Chief. This little book had it all from steamy scenes to sweet moments when Rex interacts with Meg. I plan on going back and reading the first two books in the series because I loved this book so much! ~ Letty Rating 5 Stars There really are good men in this world The good guy really wins in this short story of love between Rex and Kiera. The story started off so strong with jarring visuals that screamed of terror and sadness. Andie struggles with trying to find a normal life after all the horrible abuse she undergoes. And DANG that girl is mega broken…a hot mess, understandably. I loved how she meets Laith, and I looooove his name. A few mannerisms about him bugged me, along with the “angel” & “goddess” bits that were overplayed a tad. Overall I found him a little cheesy and didn’t realllly like him that much. This book is brilliant, insanely funny. A breath of fresh air. An instant fav and top rom com read of this year. An unconventional small town called Tomahawk where they live by their own rules and get a little bit no a lotta bit crazy. The storyline is so completely different from the usual Romantic Comedies I have read and I loved that about this book. The characters will make you laugh, the storyline will keep you wanting more. I don't even know what else to say about this book other then I FLOVED IT. I have already read it twice and will probably read it anytime I am wanting a good laugh, some hot men and just something fun. I absolutely can't wait for more from this series. C.M. In the small Washington town called Tomahawk you don’t have to only worry about the wild animals that lurk in the woods. You have to keep your eyes out for those that they call the Wild Ones. CM Owens is one of my go to authors for when I am looking for a book that is going to keep me entertained and laughing from beginning to end. And Becoming a Vincent does not let me down. This book had me laughing right off the bat. In fact it was so entertaining that I want to find a town like Tomahawk and move there so that I can have this kind of entertainment in real life. The chemistry between Lilah and Benson was one of the things that also made this book one that can keep you enthralled in their story. The antics that the rest of the Vincent’s throw into the mix just lets you know just why they are called the Wild Ones. There wasn’t only one thing that I can say was my favorite part. This is one of those books that I can say is going to be hands down of my favorite books that has everything that I want to find in a book. The antics that are part of the Wild Ones, in this book being the Vincent’s is something that makes me impatient for the next part to be released. Wild One Tip #327: Always watch your back. Or at least have someone crazy enough to watch it for you. CM Owens has done it again with Becoming a Vincent. There hasn’t been a book yet that I haven’t enjoyed by her. She has a way to make you want more and more of her characters. And with Lilah and Benson there story has only made me want more of the Wild Ones, and I personally can’t wait to get the next part to see what other crazy shenanigans there can be. What I loved about this story is that the main characters, Lilah and Benson, were friends for 3 years before they realized their feelings went deeper than just friendship. Lilah took a bit longer than Benson but once she knew, she just went for him. Lilah is sassy, funny, and doesn't take crap from anyone. The women from her town, Tomahawk, are scared of her brand of crazy so they know not to touch what is hers which leads to several humorous scenes when the the single ladies thought Benson was available. Benson was sort of a recluse when he moved to this small lake town 9 years before but he was welcomed by the Vincent Family with the beard challenge and didn't want to leave. Owens I know I definitely want to be a crazy. I loved this book so much with its wit, sarcasm, funniness and all round craziness. It was a great storyline explaining the four corners of the lake and having a set of crazies in each corner and the rules they have like not being in the same place as other crazies etc. In this book we are introduced to Lilah, who as a Vincent is a crazy with her two brothers and they are triplets. She has a best friend called Benson who has been there for 9 years, known her for 6 years, been her best friend for 3 and loved her for 1. This book made me laugh and giggle at some of the things they get up to like a water cannon, pipe bombs and paintball from the other crazies. Her aunt wants her to settle down so she keeps bringing men back to introduce her to her niece. Then there is a beard challenge that has been running for 9 years and the first to cut it has to swim the lake from one side to the other. With everything in this book and the way it was set up I can't wait until the next book comes out and I am sure it's will be of the same brilliant writing as this one. With Laugh-out-loud moments and enough drama to keep it going, there is so much more to The Wild Ones than you will ever know. To Know them is to know laughter. Lilah Vincent, oh my god how to describe Lilah, there just aren't any words. She is a bad ass wild one, but is the low man on the crazy pole. Her and her brothers are a sight for sore eyes because they have such a hilarious dynamic. I love that they are so together. The pranks – perfection! I love that they play like that. The Love- completely there. Mess with one and you mess with them all! Benson Nolans, mystery man! His family visits once a year and no one ever sees them. No one knows what he does for a living. It takes a special kind of crazy to get feuding brothers to talk again, and it looks like Tomahawk, specializes in that brand. And hello WATER CANON!!! I am so happy that I picked this up. I mean, even if we did get a little too close one night, it’d be reckless endangerment. BOOK REVIEW - THIEVES 2 LOVERS by K. WEBSTER & J.D. HOLLYFIELD #BookSmackedReviews #BookReviews #MelsReview These two thieves stole my heart a bit. Linc and Reagan best friends and up to no good. I laughed a lot throughout this book as these two were constantly up to no good. They were so funny and cute together. You could feel the connection between these two and boy did they have some obstacles including themselves in the way. What really stood out for me was how connected they really were. Always there for each other and constantly had each other’s backs. There was a moment where I thought to myself oh fuck noooooo !!! I was about ready to have a heart attack. This was a great ending to this series and one that I would definitely say to read if you are looking for a rom com that will give you some butterflies, a lot of laughs with a little hit of angst. I can’t get enough of this series it is hands down one of my favs and I seriously started reading these on Friday. Dante omg yes I loved him. He’s got a temper, he’s danger and hot hot hot. I honestly don’t even know what to say here because as per usual RVD has sucked me in to the point where my thoughts are all over the place. This book will have you a little bit speechless and a whole lot of OMFG what just happened. What in the hell just happened. My heart Dayumm I simply can’t get enough of this mafia madness. Once again we there are so many things happening in this. Dante has a choice to make as to whether or not he wants to take his rightful place as head of his family. This series continues to have me completely engaged and Rachel Van Dyken always comes through with the shock value that I love so much. Her male characters are dangerous, sexy, sinful but also always have that deep deep protective nature about them. Her heroines are equally as fierce, they not only put up with the life of the Mafia but they get themselves knee deep into it and that to me is soooo badass. It was an emotional read and has lots of things happen and it's a wild ride. Hurt, sorrow, regret, laughter, friendship and love. This book seems to have it all. The story was one of moving forward and overcoming things that happen. Carsten was strong but at times she came across as weak. This was her story, so I'm not going to talk about other characters but I liked the direction that it too. It's not an easy book to read. There are triggers in this book but I feel that the ride was one of beauty and hope. I am a huge fan of Jasinda Wilder and her Badd Brother's series. #BookSmackedReviews #BaddBrothers #MelsReview #BookReview #FavRead So let's start by saying when I received this book I legit squealed !!! I'm talking woke up checked my email and saw it and commenced screaming. I want every Badd Brother even the ones that have yet to be written because what I've read so far I've loved. Baxter is the fighter, the hot athlete and I may even just say here the one with the least amount of filter on him which is saying a lot because well the Badd Brothers they all lack filters. Eve she couldn't be more opposite from Baxter. She's been groomed to be the ever demure lady. Bax is just the man to bring out her wild side and show her everything she's been missing. And holy fuck does he ever. There are some scenes in this book that I literally thought to myself Gawd dayummm!!! I felt myself looking around blushing wondering if anyone was looking over my shoulder reading what I was reading and I was completely alone while reading this book. Eve she may come across as this stuffy high maintenance socialite born with a spoon in her mouth but let me tell you once she meets Bax she becomes this vixen. It's been awhile since I read the last book and so while reading this one I remembered how much I l or these characters. They all appear again in this book and bring some laughs along with them. Another great read in this series and I'm salivating for the rest of them. This book is steamy with some Baddass sex scenes that will have you flushing all the way down to your toes. Props to Jasinda Wilder for throwing in the fact that Bax used to play for the Calgary Stampeders which is where I happen to live. She gets extra bonus points for that. 😂 My Rating Evangeline du Maurier is the definition of a good girl. Attending Yale, raised with the best tutors and etiquette instructors, she's expected to toe the family line and be a trophy wife for a future senator. REVIEW - BRICK by CHARLIE LEE #BookSmackedReview #FiveStars #VeronicasReview I went in to this book thinking hard, biker, dark read. I came out of this book forgetting that's what it was. Don't get me wrong it was twisted, they were bikers and it was full of sex and foul language, but it was also full of love and loyalty and a crap load of emotions. I adored Brick. Everything about him, from his sex appeal to his loyalty, from his massive bulge to his soft heart. He really is the kind of man everyone woman deserves. You wouldn't even need to get past his lifestyle because you fall in love with it because it is who he is and he's just amazing. Well at least I think so. As always the supporting characters are amazing. Especially Katch, he will always be, not sure I will ever get sick of that man. But Brick is it for me, but I doubt I could take Mitts Bear so I guess he will only be mine in my head. The story line was amazing, the little aspects you don't see coming to the main events. Everything flowed well. Timeline was on point, no major gap no skipping steps. The love story was everything it needed to be for these characters. Not all characters could have pulled it of, it was quick, dirty and intense. But you felt it and you felt for them. You wanted them to get a HEA, they deserved one after all the shit they went through. It's awesome how tragedy could bring them together and rip them apart. Definitely a book I need in paperback on my shelf so I can stare at its sexy cover and read it over again. 5 stars for me based on Brick's character and the emotions the book brings out. Kelly was a half witch, half wolf and she was awesome. I liked her spunk and the way she takes changes with out really overthinking things. She was just a natural and easy to love. Eric was the alpha but he was also pretty laid back. I liked how he felt about Kelly and he really didn't take things laying down. He protected what was his and that was that. The plot was fast paced and fun. There were some moments with drama but the way the author did it I was hooked. I liked the pack aspect and the whole witch/wolf hybrid that Kelly was. It put a spin on your typical shifter romance. Overall; I've read another book by this author and while it wasn't my favorite, the author did an awesome job with this book. I loved that this story was about a woman who was a witch but also a shifter. Kelly didn't know she was one until after she was saved from an attack from some rogue shifters by Eric and his pack. She is drawn to Eric who turns out to be her mate and is caught in the middle of a fight between the rogues and the established packs, she had no idea about. My problem with the book was the dialogue, it was too stunted in my opinion. This Novella is a very promising start to what I expect to be a very intense series. Helena and Callum, they always knew they were meant for one another. One moment and all of that is ripped away. The only connection they have is the bond they share. The unbreakable connection in their minds and their hearts. The love they share. But, sadly is love isn’t enough to save her from the monsters that hold her captive? The monster that is slowly growing within her? Helena is a very strong character but even strength isn’t enough for the terror she’s been put through. Callum breaks my heart. Such an Alpha male and he’s powerless in the search of his mate. Only knowing that if he finds her it might be too late. I can’t wait for what’s to come next in the Dark Desire’s series. Don't mistake the fact that I absolutely loved this book it is a book that had me going through a ton of emotions. From being excited and giddy to wanting to throw up because I was distressed? Even know I am questioning how I feel because I just don't know. Let's start with the beginning of this book. I didn't read the blurb and so had no indication of what it was about I suppose the title could have told me that this book would entertain a taboo subject but I still went into with no preconceived notions. Ok so I start this book and it's great and seems like it's gonna be cute and ya know one of those sweet romances. I'm reading away and thinking oh hell yeah. This book is hot, instant connection yes yes one of those relationships that you read about and think to yourself I wish I had that instant chemistry hot as fuck encounters when I first meet someone. Then BAM !!!! Oh my what in the ever loving fuck Noooooooo !!!!!! Oh SHIT !!!! Holy fucking shit !!! You usually have a stance on things and it's hard to sway that stance yes this is vague I know but there is a certain topic in this book that I won't reveal because it is spoilerish. Either way my stance on that topic is pretty firm I am against it. It actually makes me nauseous thinking about it. At this point I'm caught up in the story of Jack and Annie and I am in so deep with story. This book had me on edge and my palms have been sweating the entire time reading I think I've ruined the pages of the paperback itself. Multiple times throughout this story my heart dropped. I audibly gasped out loud because these two are in such a fucked up web which had me so conflicted. It's not pretty, it's not a bed of roses and it's certainly not a fairytale romance but it definitely is bringing out all the emotions which is what a great book does. I've been giddy, I've been conflicted, I've been angry, sad, fuck I've even been judgemental while reading this book. Fuck me I don't know what I feel. I'm a basket case of emotions right now. And while my stance on the subject matter in this is still the same I will say that I understood the story as it unfolded and why it did. I have huge respect for authors that write books that will no doubt be received with mixed reviews which I'm sure this book will. I will say that while this book will have some people angry and some will fall in love with it there is no question that it is well written and does exactly what a book should do which is make you think, bring out your emotions and have you lost in the story. The Forbidden is an explosive story of when the heart wants what it shouldn't. Excerpt “Thank you for your help,” I say quietly, studying him, definitely detecting that he’s deep in thought.
